My biggest bloom yet

Zucchini Blossoms

Zucchini's have the oddest blossoms. When they're closed, they're shriveled and ugly, like the ones you see in the background. They'll be closed day or night, and they only spread like the two you see here a couple times a week.

My First Sunflower

I'm surprised that this one was the first to bloom, since it's one of the smaller plants. I'm excited for the rest, hopefully budding in the next couple of weeks.

Lizard Intruder

There is an intruder in my kitchen. I'm not sure how he got in, and I was too slow to knock it into my glade-ware container, so now it's climbing up my least accessible wall. I'm not afraid of them, I actually like the little green guys, but I've sprayed so much Raid in my house over the years that I'm worried that I'll end up cleaning up a dead gecko in a few days.

Why are there geckos running around in November? Oh, it's 80 degrees today : )

Shark Week

One of the things that I love about Shark Week is what the Discovery Channel does to it's office building in Silver Spring.

...is what used to be spray painted on this building. It looks like
someone tagged over it on the past month. Now it says..."harsh
able"? I can't really read the second word, but I know I preferred
the other message. At least it meant something.
