Weekend Goings-On in the Crescent City

In the morning from 8am to noon is the Crescent City Farmer's Market at Magazine and Girod. They're matching food stamps up to $25 until the 15th of August, so if you've got them, go buy yourself some organic produce.

There will be a Pet Supply Drive at Buffalo Exchange tomorrow. From the website:

The New Orleans Buffalo Exchange is hosting a cat/dog supply drive, partnering with La Divina Gelateria to support the Animal Rescue of New Orleans (ARNO). Customers can bring supplies such as bedding, toys and leashes. Enjoy gelato while DJ Shanook does his thing! It’s a great way to support a local charity and update your wardrobe.

It's from 10am to 7pm at 3312 Magazine St. I bought a toy for it, then realized that Biko would probably want one, too. And...he's getting an IOU until I get paid next week. I don't want to get him a piece of rope that he'll destroy in an hour, he deserves something that costs at least $5.

Also, White Linen Night!

I'm going! Are you?
